8 DAY CAPE YORK RIDE/FLY This Cairns to Cape York ride/fly motorcycle adventure will satisfy the desires of all dirt bike riders. Fly up and ride back, or vice-versa. The Cairns to Cape York ride distance is 1350 kms approx and each day you will ride approx 260 kms. A lot of the Cape York area is quite flat with a variety of different terrain and track conditions, but there are also a lot of creek and river crossings to encounter. In a normal wet season Cape York gets about 3 metres of rain making for lots of wash outs and erosion ruts. Visit private property exclusive to Fair Dinkum Bike Tours. All ages can experience the Famous CREB track through to the Lion’s Den pub and on to Cooktown. Riding the Cape Flattery sand dunes and Lakefield National Park. Visit Old Musgrave telegraph station, the infamous Telegraph track and Twin Falls. Stand at the Top of Australia. Visit WW2 aircraft crash sites and a chance to go fishing. Enjoy all this whilst camping out under the stars and having a chance to catch a fish along the way. This adventure will satisfy everyone! This trip offers the chance to ride the best Cape York has to offer, and is definitely for the rider who wants to take a close look at Australia and the outback. All rider skill levels catered for - this motorcycle adventure will satisfy the desires of all dirt dike riders. We have local knowledge andexperience of the ultimate trail ride areas. Support Truck - non-riders can come too! Non-riders are well looked after in our a brand new custom-built 4WD Mitsubishi Canto support truck. Up to 5 passengers riding in the comfort of the support vehicle can come along and experience the 8 Day Cape York tour with the added bonus of mixing with the trail bike riders along the way. If you aren't one for dirt bikes, come along for the magical adventure in style - sit up front in the truck as the riders go bush. It's an experience that offers everyone the chance to be part of the dirt bike adventure whilst sitting in comfort.
Non-riders are accommodated and catered for as part of the experience, visit the outback, camp out and we then fly them back from Cape York back to Cairns at the completion of the tour. Trailzone Magazine did an article about the support truck - read what they had to say about it.
