Hi Dave, I felt it was only appropriate that i e mail you to again thank you and your staff for what i can only describe as the ultimate week of excitement.
My son Ash and I were hesitant about what we were to expect on the 5 day ride and at every turn you blew our minds, not just with the magnificent country side but also with your knowledge of the tracks and the challenges you gave us on the ride. Dave this is something we will be talking about for many years to come. It was a true pleasure to to ride with such a professional.
I would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone who is interested in seeing your beautiful part of our great country.
Many thanks again
Matt & Ash Cain

Dave,
Jayde and I would like to thank you and your merry band of misfits for an excellent little trip. We were particularly appreciative of the extra effort to accommodate Jayde as the only female on the trip. The separate accommodation was beyond what we had expected to be provided with and was most appreciated.
You took us down some great single trail tracks and unmaintained sections through private property that made the trip worthwhile. Each day threw in something different, from the slippery clay to the soft sand, allowing some test of the technical ability but nothing that overly risked injury, nor made us too tired to enjoy the trails. The DRZ-400's were a highly capable machine, well set up and a pleasure to ride on.
Thanks again to you and your team, everything was looked after for us, no dishes to be done, no servicing to sweat over and ample cold drinks to wash down the fantastic feeds. We have been avidly recommending the trip to our friends. Your brochures have made it to my Army mates at Robertson Barracks, a few to the local Police Station and the rest to the local bike shop.
I am now troubled by the dilemma of 'where next'?
Thanks again,
Brad & Jayde.
Thanks for the trip Dave. The professionalism by you, Jessie and Lee was (in my books) exceptional. The guy's really led us on a good ride, gave us the freedom to enjoy ourselves and most of all looked after us from start to finish each and every day.
The tracks we were led on and the scenery we saw were some of the best I could have hoped for - a credit to your operation and the trip planning/truck support which you have fine tuned over the years - ran like clockwork. The whole group was similar in skill and ability which kept the days smooth and well paced. Great bunch of guys to go to the Cape with, should have some great footage and photo's when it's all put together. Please pass on my thanks to both Jessie and Lee, it was better than I could have expected. Very happy that I chose FDBT.
Thanks again Dave.

Hi again Dave. I have a contribution to your Fair Dinkum press billboard in your shed. The Norwegian "MC Bladet" (The MC Magazine) has published an article from our trip in June. They loved our pictures so much that I had to write a full five page article. As mentioned before, the Cape York trip was really the highlight of my stay in Australia. The text is in Norwegian of course, but i guess it is fun to have it in your collection anyway.
Give my regards to all the other Australian Fair Dinkum bikers.
No Worries Mate!
Best Regards

What a week!!!
Awesome riding with every type or terrain you can think of, sand, mud, dust, water, hill climbs, and the good old carry the bike across a few rivers. This isnt a tag along tour, its an endurance adventure where you can ride to your full capabilities, Yes!, some of us got our ego mixed up with our capabilitys but we all made it to the end.
The professionalism of Galaxy and Oil on the ride was well beyond my expectations; from being up early to set up breaky to checking over the bikes on every stop, these guys didnt rest. They both know their stuff and are very capable riders; their support and riding tips were just the icing on the cake. To be able to have the confidence in the guides made the whole trip stress free.
The camping sites were well organised and in great locations (some out the back of the local pub, not sure that was a good idea the next morning?) and even a few nights in nice accommodation (no tents!). When we werent eating from the bistro, Dave would cook up a storm.
A big thanks to the awesome group of guys on the tour, made some great mates. Love to do it again soon. This is a trip of a life time and worth every cent.
Massive thanks to Dave, Galaxy and Oli for a fantastic 8 days,
Dave, Andy and Scotty - Port Macquarie NSW
I would like to give you, Galaxy and Oli a really big thank you for giving me an unforgettable time on the Cape York tour. I was a bit apprehensive as to how I would cope with the ride, especially after the first day's adventure, the memories will stay with me forever. The help, advice and encouragement you and your crew gave me went a long way into making my tour so enjoyable.
I can really say that my riding technique has improved immeasurably, thanks largely to the guidance, riding technique help and patience of Galaxy and Oli. The professionalism with which the tour was organised was impressive, your support truck is a serious bit of kit and the bikes were impressive.
I can honestly say that I would have no hesitation in recommending your tour company to anyone wanting a true motorcycle adventure. Thank you once again, I am now saving up for my next escapade if the missus lets me.

I have just had my first week back in Tassie and hating every minute of it, so cold after spending the week up in Cape York!
I wanted to take this opportunity to write to you to thank you for what was truly an experience of a lifetime. You should be very proud of the business that you run, every whim catered for, bikes were immaculate, I was suppose to lose some weight but your cooking was a treat.. the joy and excitement it brought to our group was priceless.
After doing your tour you truly live in a special place and are fortunate enough to travel in a unique part of the world on a weekly basis. Its amazing how a week in the outback tends to put other matters in perspective! The group had a great time, lots of great photos and a heap of laughs, we still talk about it now..
To the crew Max and Charlie, they are legends, couldn't do enough for us, they are great, I guess they have the best job in the world.
Once again a big thank you to both you, Max and Charlie.. awesome stuff.

I first met David in Cairns, where I was conducting my annual "Academy Of Off Road Riding School" course. David arranged a 4 day ride for myself and other well known dirt bike personalities such as Lyndon Heffernan, Gavin McLeod, Rick Maddin and Geoff Olholm.
We all had a fantastic time. David's local trail knowledge and experience ensured us the best trail riding adventure Cairns has to offer.
David's passion is his riding. It shows in his professional approach to the task. His bounding personality is always well received. Give Dave a call you will not be disappointed.

It took me 25 years to get the courage to ride from Cairns to Cape York and back. The entire trip certainly lived up to expectations. Fantastic! The riding was fun and challenging. The camping locations were great. The beauty of the Archer River will always be in my mindIt was one of the most beautiful places I've ever camped at. The support crew were absolutely fantastic.

Dave knows his stuff.
I didn't have my own trail bike, however that wasn't a problem as Dave was able to arrange a motor cycle for me at more than reasonable money! A Suzuki DRZ 400 to be exact, which considering it was a hire bike was more than capable for the job and seemed to have everything intact, at least at the beginning of the trip anyway!!
The Day was made up of fast gravel tracks, tight forest tracks (only managed to go over the handlebars twice!) and not to mention balancing across rather precariously placed bits of wood over creeks. And that was only in the morning! Single tracks and great views - trail bike heaven.
We then stopped for a well needed steak sandwich up at Mount Molloy, before heading back.
The way back was awesome, consisting of some fast forest tracks with nice Jumps and slow bending turns to really get your adrenaline going. We even found our way on to a fairly disused buggy track where the hills were so steep you thought you were falling of the edge of the world when you went over the peak! Going down was just as mind bending!
We then headed back to home, me totally exhausted due to not being half as fit as I should be! After a couple of eventful punctures, We headed back down the windy tarmac roads to Cairns, we sank a nice cold beer before we said our good-byes.
Whatever your riding capabilities are, Dave is over qualified to cater for your needs, he has such a vast knowledge over the local area you always know you are in safe hands. The one thing that appealed to me is that you get to ride with the person behind the company, not the unmotivated staff you can often come across! That speaks volumes in my book.
Until the next time!

Fair Dinkum Bike Tours made our holiday. The scenery was fantastic. The highlight was riding through the rainforest and the single trails - what a blast.
Patrick Kelly (Wellingborough, UK)

Awesome The best thing we did when in Cairns.
Donnchadh Healy (Cork, Ireland)
An absolute blast. The variety of terrain made the ride really enjoyable, my guide was great, the bike was fantastic and as a result I have now decided to get a new bike.
