This is a personal testimonial for Fair Dinkum Bike Tours. I have no reservation in recommending "Fair Dinkum Bike Tours" for your trail bike Adventure when visiting Cairns and Cape York.
I first met David Williams, director of "Fair Dinkum Bike Tours", when in Cairns to conduct my annual "Academy Of Off Road Riding School". Dave arranged a 4 day ride with myself and other well known dirt bike personalities such as Lyndon Heffernan, Gavin McLeod, Rick Maddin and Geoff Olholm (just to name a few).
We all had a fantastic time, as Dave's local trail knowledge and experience ensured us the best trail riding adventure that Cairns has to offer.
Dave's passion is his riding, it shows with his professional approach to the task and his great personality is always well received. Give Dave a call you will not be disappointed.

Dave thanks for a fantastic trip it took me 25 years to get the courage to ride from Cairns to Cape York and back. The entire trip certainly lived up to expectations.
I thought the riding was fun and challenging both the fast and slow sections. The camping locations were fantastic, it'll always stand in my mind the beauty of Archer River, foxie's hole I thought that was one of the most beautiful places I've ever camped at, and both you and your support crew were absolutely fantastic.
The trails were a challenge in some sections but your trail bikes were a pleasure to ride. well maintained and didnt have any problems. Your policy of replacing them every season is a good one.
Everybody who went on the trip absolutely loved it and it was a motor cycle adventure that they will all remember, when the video is finished I will send you a copy.??Look forward to doing Weipa one day ... (:o)
Cheers,
Justin
After speaking to various motorcycle tour operators it became clear after a chance meeting with Dave of Fair Dinkum Bike Tours, down at Daintree village, he knew his stuff!
He was looking after over a dozen or so people on the way back from Cape York and yet was enthusiastic about taking me out for a spin for a 1 day motor cycle adventure through the rainforests.
I didn't have my own trail bike, however that wasn't a problem as Dave was able to arrange a motor cycle for me at more than reasonable money!
A Suzuki DRZ 400 to be exact, which considering it was a hire bike was more than capable for the job and seemed to have everything intact, at least at the beginning of the trip anyway!!
The Day was made up of fast gravel tracks, tight forest tracks (only managed to go over the handlebars twice! Thanks Dave) and not to mention balancing across rather precariously placed bits of wood over creeks!! And that was only in the morning! Single tracks and great views i was in trail bike heaven.
We then stopped for a well needed steak sandwich up at Mount Molloy, before heading back.
The way back was awesome, consisting of some fast forest tracks with nice Jumps and slow bending turns to really get your adrenaline going. We even found our way on to a fairly disused buggy track where the hills were so steep you thought you were falling of the edge of the world when you went over the peak! Going down was just as mind bending!
We then headed back to home, me totally exhausted due to not being half as fit as I should be! After a couple of eventful punctures, We headed back down the windy tarmac roads to Cairns, we sank a nice cold beer before we said our good-byes.
Whatever your riding capabilities are, Dave is over qualified to cater for your needs, he has such a vast knowledge over the local area you always know you are in safe hands. The one thing that appealed to me is that you get to ride with the person behind the company, not the unmotivated staff you can often come across! That speaks volumes in my book.
Thanks and good luck. Until the next time!

This letter is to thank you for the great time I had with you doing the 2 day trail bike adventure ride.
When we first had a look at your web site and then when we finally made it to Cairns I was really keen to do the ride.
You made the holiday and I want to thank you again for a terrific 2 days, I didnĚt realise the different terrain that we were to ride over and also I thought that I was quite competent until I hit the first big hill.
The scenery was fantastic and Cairns is really a beautiful place to see by trail bike. The highlight was riding through the rainforest and the single trails that were a blast.
Thanks for the riding tips and I have been able to put them into practice after I got home. It has improved my riding heaps.
I would have no hesitation to recommend Fair Dinkum Bike Tours to anybody and I have told all my mates about it so hope you get them on a tour.
Thanks for the photos and hope all goes well.
Cheers and all the best

Hello Dave, Tamos here, I want to thank you for the training when I was visiting Cairns.
I have started the 2004 enduro season here in Europe and so far have placed second in the class. If you ever get to Hungary you must stay with me and we will ride together.
Thanks for the good weather and I will be coming back next year.
Regards
Tamos Boris (Hungarian Enduro Team)
Donnchadh from Ireland here just to say thank you for sending the photos and for a very enjoyable day on the 1 day trail bike adventure. It was a awesome tour and if any of our mates are in the Cairns area we will have no hesitation in sending them your way. It was the best thing we did when in Cairns. The trails were awesome and the veiws made for some great photo's.
Hope you had a good Christmas and good luck in the new year.

Just wanted to say thanks for the one day ride I did last week. I had an absolute blast. It was great to ride something other than motocross.
The variety of terrain made the ride really enjoyable, my guide was great, the bike was fantastic and as a result I have now decided to get a new bike.??I will definately be doing another tour next time we visit, probably a multiday ride, and hopefully bring some mates also.
Thanks again. See you next time.

Endless tracks and excellent bikes.
Thought I would drop you a quick line to say hi And thanks for the great ride. I have been thinking about where we went and what we did and it was the best part of my holiday.
Say hello to Mitch and I will pass on all the information you gave me and hopefully get a group together for the Cape York Adventure.
Keep up the good work and I'm sure your name will speak for itself as time goes on, you do a great job and all the best for the future.
Kind regards,

I am writing to you on behalf of the mad mob from Melbourne to thank you for putting on a great tour.
After we spoke to you regarding the riding and where we were going to go, we were a little sceptical as to what the tour was going to be like.
Mate, you delivered more than you promised and your crew were fantastic. (thank Rob for the gourmet cooking). We are all a little depressed coming back to work after the ride and we will send you the photo's when we collect them all.
We have had a ball and I will recommend you to anyone thinking of visiting cairns and they want a motor cycle tour to Cape York. I am now looking at a new bike so the wife is not happy....... You get that.
Say Hello to all the crew and If you get down this way we will return the favour.
Cheers,
Dave Barrett and the Mad Mob
